Gerdau Petersburg - Lime Injection System

In October 2015, Gerdau Petersburg commissioned INTECO PTI for a new lime injection system.  The project consisted of modifying their current silos to deliver hi-cal and dolomitic lime to two dedicated injection vessels.  Each vessel is 200 cuft and can hold all of the material required for the entire heat- eliminating the need to refill during melting.  The material is injected into the process using PTI's innovative Annulus material injecting burners.
