INTECO PTI at Metal Ravne

Metal Ravne (Slovenia, EU) completed an upgrade of the INTECO PTI Swing Door system installed on the EAF last year.  The Swing Door has been in operation at Metal Ravne for several months. The door had to be shortened to fulfill the need for a higher breast level in order to allow an extended charging weight. During the Christmas shut down, the Swing door was dismantled, and the plate was taken to the workshop for shortening and remounting. The Swing Door system has been restarted after the shut down in January, and is working to a 100% satisfaction for the steel plant representatives.
