New INTECO PTI Swingdoor at Marienhütte Graz

Marienhütte Graz (Austria, EU) recently installed the INTECO PTI Swing Door system on their existing EAF during the Christmas shut down, and were able to start back up in the first week of January 2016.  The SwingDoor was installed  to improve the scrap melting and foamy slag process, to increase yield, and to enhance the use of additional chemical energy via a door burner. After a very short period of customization, the project is successful- the first results could be received already. Further improvements and slight adaptions in regard of the EAF process and the maintenance regime will be implemented in upcoming weeks.
