SSAB Lime Project

INTECO PTI has received an order from SSAB Mobile Alabama to supply a complete lime unloading, storage, and EAF injection system.  The project includes both truck and rail unloading systems that utilize a vacuum system to pull material from the delivery vehicle to the silo.  The 200 ton silos hold enough material for 4 days of production.  Two (2) 250 cuft vessels will transport dolomitic lime to the four (4) EAF shells at SSAB.  The material is injected into the process through PTI's annulus material injection burner and supersonic lance.  This innovative product injects material into the process while giving the operator the option to add chemical energy or supersonic oxygen to the EAF.  The startup date for this project is December 2015.
